It was a fantastic turnout for our first Sunday of the season! So pleasing to see such good numbers and enthusiasm for the swim, run, boards and flags activities – it was a very full program!
Remember to arrive nice and early every week to get yourself organised for the day’s activities, to help setup, get boards out, and be ready for the briefing 15 minutes prior to the club swim.
Now to our all-important education and leadership opportunities …
Surf Rescue Certificate
For all those who are Under 15 the 6-week SRC course is about to commence at the club on Monday 31st October from 5pm – 6:15pm. This is a great introductory course to life saving and a pre-requisite for competing at Championships. To enroll please email youth@albanysurfclub.com.au with your expression of interest and log in to the members area – elearning – and complete the online modules before the first class.
For those that need to do a refresher this will be run on the requal days (5th or 20th November). Please log in to the members area – elearning – calendar and pick the date you prefer.
T.O.A.D and Rise Up Camps
T.O.A.D Camp – Tuesday 3rd – Friday 6th January 2023 is open to all U14 and U15 youth members.
The Rise Up Camp – Monday 19th – Thursday 22nd December 2022 is for U17 Youth members (15 and 16 years).
These camps are designed to develop your surf club and leadership skills and you will leave having made lifelong friendships. If you would like to attend, please let your Youth Coordinator Joslyn Pass know: youth@albanysurfclub.com.au
