SUNSMART WA ENDURANCE CHAMPIONSHIPS & NIPPER GOLD

Registrations are open! Taking place at the end of this month Saturday, 29 October with the beach/ocean events at Sorrento and surf boats at Mullaloo.

The Nipper Gold is an Endurance Ironman event comprising a 250m run, 300m swim, 250m run, finishing with a 450m board paddle. It is open to all U12s & U13s who completed either last year or this year’s proficiency swim.

9.20am 3.5km Board Paddle Open, U19, U17, U15, U14 & Masters – Male

9.30am 3.5km Board Paddle Open, U19, U17, U15, U14 & Masters – Female

10.00am 2km Swim Open, U19, U17, U15, U14 & Masters – Male

10.05am 2km Swim Open, U19, U17, U15, U14 & Masters – Female

10.40am 7km Single Ski Open, U19, U17 & Masters – Male

ENTRY CONDITIONS

Members and or clubs will be required to enter and pay directly in the Surftec online system before close of entries on Tuesday 25 October, 11.59pm. NO LATE ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED. For this event, Surf Boat teams will need to be created by the Club from the entries by Thursday 27 October, 11.00pm.

Competitors must be current 2022/23 surf life saving club members and be proficient. Age categories for these championships are taken as of 30 September 2022. U12 and U13 competitors must possess the competition skills evaluations. The 2021/22 evaluations are valid for this event.

New members must obtain the evaluation before the event. U14 competitors without an SRC for this event must have an U13 competition skills evaluations from 2021/22 U15 competitors must possess the SRC as a minimum. First Year U17 competitors may compete with the SRC as a minimum. U17, U19, Open and Master’s competitors must possess the Bronze Medallion as a minimum.

All competitors in water-based surf lifesaving events held by SLSWA will be required to wear a yellow hi-viz lycra vest. All competitors must have a competition red band. If you do not have one or have not got one from your Club prior to the Championships, you will need to purchase one on the day at the officials tent for $5.  

ENTRY FEES

Surf Boat (U19 – Masters) $15 per person. Note if a sweep/rower will be in both male and female races, a total of $20 for that athlete will be charged.

All other events – $15 for first event entered and $5 for each subsequent event. Entry fees are non-refundable if members do not take part in these Championships. Entries are open at https://entries.surftec.com.au/
