Surf Boats

Since Surf Life Saving’s inception, surf boats were used as a means to pluck troubled swimmers from the water. While rescue methods have changed significantly over the years, Boaties still train to get these large boats out through the big surf break and back to shore again as quickly as possible without capsizing.

The club maintains an excellent fleet of craft with many opportunities to get on the water with new and regular crews training throughout the week. The crews rotate their training days and times subject to both crew member and surf boat availability.
