2026 Skills Maintenance Requals held on Oct 17th

A great thank you to all of the club members, and our Education team, who made the most of the magnificent weather last Saturday morning to complete the first of two Requal days for those awards that are so critical in keeping the flags up this season.

We had 37 Clubbies complete their annual requals for SRC, Bronze Medallion, ART, and IRB Crew and Driver. Everyone looked to be having a great time, in addition to getting some valuable upskilling on new Lifesaving practices.

If you couldn’t make it, don’t despair! There is a second (and last) opportunity to join in the fun and keep your qualifications live, this time on the morning of Sunday the 1st of November.

If you need to requal on the 1st, please log on to the SLS Hub and then open up eLearning: there you will find a range of short course materials and videos related to the quals that you hold, all nested under a box called “2026 Skills Maintenance”. The quality of these videos and updates is excellent, and they are perfect to help you get your Lifesaving head back on in the lead up to Patrols starting. Plus, they are mandatory prerequisites for you to be able to turn up on the 1st to complete your practical components.

Whilst you are in eLearning, you can also use the Training Event tab to book yourself a spot on one of the four sessions (0800, 0830, 0900, and 0930) planned for the 1st. The whole process for each group on the day should take around 90 minutes.

Please feel free to call Cam Martin on 0429 800 752, if you need assistance or have any further questions.
