Sunday Wrap Up 8/2
The water was red and misty but we pressed on regardless, and suffering no ill-effects, took Ashton’s supersized board paddling course out deep into clean water and back in a giant double saw tooth formation – a 1.2km handicap race later revealed by GPS to be in the shape of a giant ‘M’! Very fitting. Rounding the session off with a special 4 person board relay, it was a super fun day marked by its improv, challenging and team based nature.
Thanks once again to the early starting water safety crew for entertaining our creative course setup and the on water support – true legends!
See you at board training Wednesday & Friday 6am! Bring goggles for the swim legs on Wednesdays 🙂
Ski training by application Tuesday & Thursday 6am! We will look to work some youth beginner sessions in once the competition and easterly season has run its course and coach availability frees up.
Don’t forget to get in your own Run & Swim interval sessions through the week. These are critical for your cardio fitness, speed and endurance. Gym sessions in between to build functional strength, resilience to training (and injury avoidance), and boost power potential (to unlock said speed, overcome conditions, both in repeat bursts and sustained over distance).
An extra Friday evening run session will occasionally be called subject to coach availability – so keep an eye on the Stack Team App for these and other updates to the training schedule.
