Volunteers wanted!
The Albany Harbour Swim is an iconic, long running and much loved community event regularly attracting over 150 swimmers and competitors from around the state – with a few regulars needing to transition roles, the ASLSC surf sports and events team needs your help in a number of areas including:
- Event Coordination – with extensive guides in place, a tried and tested event formula, community partners on board and approvals already underway… if communication is your thing… this could be YOU!
- Registrations & Timing – easy peasy with our brand new timing system!! With most of the hard work already done in the setup phase (thanks Sarah B), the timing could not be more perfect to jump into this glory role NOW!
- Merchandise – lead an exciting brand refresh and develop a brand new line of merch – how cool is that! The crowds have been crying out for it for years but we haven’t had capacity – let’s do this!
Full mentored support for each role will be provided! We won’t leave you high and dry ;-). And we’ll need all the normal helpers on the day too – lookout for callouts soon.
Learn the ropes at the 2026 Harbour Swim and you will be itching to get involved with our other two public event biggies – the Albany Surf Craft Challenge and New Years Eve Swim. It’s the most fun side of the fence to be on, trust us!
