Bremer Bay certainly turned on the sunshine for our annual Rainbow Coast Carnival. The jam-packed weekend kicked off with Ethan and Charlie from SLSWA running beach and ocean training sessions for U10 to U13 and Youth at Town Beach, and Bronwyn facilitating All Abilities training.
Beach events on the Saturday at Blossoms were held in perfect conditions, starting with the long beach run before moving to flags, sprints and sprint relays. On Sunday morning, with a gentle breeze and beautiful sunshine we hit off with a March Past and then onto our ocean events.
Whether you were competing to win, participating for fun or fitness, or just being there was your big accomplishment – you are all winners! We loved seeing every one of you give it a go, overcoming personal obstacles and challenges, developing skills and growing in confidence. We loved seeing our U6 and U7 and All Abilities members participate in the carnival format too!
The high ASLSC Nipper participation in the final event – the Iron – was particularly impressive. To keep pushing after two big days of action was a real show of your grit and determination congratulations!
