Last Thursday, we officially opened the doors to our renewed and expanded clubhouse — a proud and defining moment for our club.
This project has been many years in the making, and it simply wouldn’t have happened without the incredible efforts of our members. From early ideas and planning right through to the final clean-ups and gear moves — this is a legacy built by volunteers. Your time, energy, and unwavering belief in the value of our club made this possible.
A special thanks to Rob Mason, who has led the project on behalf of the club with quiet persistence and calm leadership over many years.
We also acknowledge and thank our major project partners — the Government of Western Australia, Lotterywest, the City of Albany, and our major benefactor, the Jack Family Charitable Trust, whose support helped turn our vision into a reality.
What started as a simple plan to improve storage and safety for our gear has become something much bigger — a facility that supports patrols, training, youth programs, community use, and the future of surf lifesaving services in Albany.
We’re incredibly proud of what’s been achieved and we’re even more excited to see it being used by our members, our nippers, and our community in the years to come.
