Volunteering

by | Tue, 20 Sep 2022 | General, Social

Thank you to the members who attended the annual busy bee on Sunday afternoon.  With only 15 members turning up it was a big job for those involved to prepare the club for the upcoming season. We still have much work to do!

Whilst our club remains strong with good membership numbers, there is a decline in people volunteering, filling roles in the club, and general involvement.

Last season, most people providing Sunday water safety did not have children involved. We are at risk in not having enough water safety this season for board training and Sunday water events if more people don’t get involved.  There is upcoming Surf Rescue Certificate (SRC) and Bronze Medallion courses starting in October. Please keep an eye on the Rip for further information.

As the season is underway, the Club needs your help in a variety of roles. ASLSC is a large operation and needs and appreciates all contributions! Your commitment could be an hour a week, on the beach or behind the scenes… opportunities are endless.

I strongly encourage club members to get involved!

To register your interest, email admin@albanysurfclub.com.au your interest and/or skills and you will be matched to a team. We really do need your support
