As we wrap up the summer season of activities of the club, on behalf of the board, I would like to express our sincere thanks and appreciation to all of our volunteers who have contributed to club program, projects and team operations week in and week out this season. This includes directors, team leaders, coordinators (across nippers, youth, seniors and competition), educators (assessors, trainers and facilitators), patrol captains, patrol teams, emergency response team, water safety, coaches, age group managers, points tally, officials, carnival coordinators, bar staff and managers, event organisers and support teams, equipment captains, grant writers, fundraising teams, communications and media, uniform and merchandise, registrations, first aid, radios, canteen, beach set up/pack down, transport, venue hire, nippers parents, club maintenance and all the vital administration in between. The list does go on.
The Albany SLSC is a big organisation with many arms to our operations and projects. Volunteer support and commitment is critical is and always will be critical.
As we wind down.. only a little though :)…please take the time and have a think about how you may be able to support the club. Like many volunteer organisations, we are seeing a decrease in our volunteer numbers that is putting pressure on operations. So, this is a great time to have a chat to a fellow clubbie to see how you may get involved. We do need your support and value the time you can contribute to our club.
