Albany Surf Life Saving Club members involved in coaching are invited to attend a free WA Institute of Sport (WAIS) Coaches Information Breakfast when the WAIS team visits Albany as part of its 2026 Regional Tour.
The breakfast will be held on Wednesday 14 October from 7:00am to 8:15am at Retravision Stadium, Albany, with a light breakfast provided.
This is a fantastic opportunity for coaches of all levels and disciplines to hear directly from WAIS representatives about athlete development pathways, high-performance sport, and the support programs available across Western Australia.
Presenters include Jake Trewin, WAIS Community Engagement Coordinator; Mariah Williams, WAIS Connection to Country Officer and Hockeyroo; and Brad Scott, WAIS Para Unit Lead and Paralympian. They will share insights into WAIS programs and initiatives, as well as their own experiences in elite sport.
The session will also provide an opportunity to connect with coaches from across the Great Southern region, ask questions, share knowledge, and build valuable relationships within the sporting community.
The event is open to all coaches, regardless of sport, experience, or coaching level, and attendance is free. Coaches interested in attending are encouraged to register via the WAIS Information Breakfast registration link.
For Albany Surf Life Saving Club members involved in coaching our Nippers, youth, or senior programs, this promises to be a valuable professional development and networking opportunity.
