Club Access and Security

Just a friendly reminder to all members

To maintain the safety, security and integrity of the Albany Surf Life Saving Club, we ask all members to take responsibility for looking after our shared facilities and equipment.

Please ensure that:

  • All doors are properly closed and locked after use.
  • Club equipment is returned to its designated storage area and left in good condition.
  • Showers and taps are fully turned off after use.
  • The clubhouse and surrounding areas are left clean, tidy and secure when you leave.
  • Nippers and members under 18 are not permitted to access or remain in the clubhouse without an adult present.
  • Please do not allow friends, family members or other non-members into the clubhouse unless they are attending an authorised Club activity or event. Your access fob is for your use and should not be used to provide general access to others.
  • Non-members are NOT permitted to use Club equipment, including boards, skis or other training and lifesaving equipment.

Membership and Club Access

Access to the clubhouse and participation in Club activities is limited to current financial members. Members whose membership has lapsed must renew their membership before accessing the facility or participating in Club activities.

This is particularly important from an insurance and risk management perspective. Allowing non-financial members or unauthorised non-members to access Club facilities or use Club equipment may create significant issues should an accident, injury or incident occur.

Please also remember that letting someone into the Club makes you responsible for ensuring they are authorised to be there. Do not provide access simply because you know the person or they ask to be let in.

These requirements are in place to protect our members, volunteers, Club assets and equipment, and to ensure we maintain a safe and respectful environment for everyone.

Thank you for helping us look after our Club and keeping it safe and secure for all members.
