Calling all members – we need you!
The Surf Craft Challenge is just 10 days away and it’s shaping up to be one of the biggest events on our calendar (right up there with this year’s Country Carnival and Champs!). To make it another incredible weekend for competitors, families, and spectators, we’re looking for volunteers to lend a hand across the event.
Whether you can spare 1 hour or 10, every bit of help makes a huge difference and it’s a great way to be part of the action and help showcase our club at its best. 💙💛
Volunteer Opportunities
🏄 Kiosk & Coffee Crew (including Barista)
Sunday | 6:00am – 1:00pm
Help with food, drinks, setup and pack down.
🛍️ Merchandise Sales
Friday & Sunday | 4:30pm – 7:00pm
Saturday | 2:30pm – 7:00pm
Help sell event merch and support the club.
⏱️ Timing, Recording & Finish Line Officials
Support race timing and finish line operations at Middleton Beach:
- Saturday Board Race | 2:30pm – 4:00pm
- Sunday 2km Run | 10:30am – 11:00am
- Sunday Results & Publishing | 9:00am – 11:00am
🏖️ Beach Setup Crew
Saturday | 10:00am – 12:00pm
Assist with bunting, sponsor banners and marquees.
🚗 Traffic Management
Saturday | 2:00pm – 4:00pm
Help guide returning trailers into beach parking areas.
🍻 Bar & Venue Setup / Support
- Friday | 2:00pm – 4:30pm – prepare for Sundowner bar opening
- Saturday | 10:00am – 2:30pm – setup before registrations open
- Sunday | 6:00pm – 9:30pm – bar runners, stocking & rubbish removal
👉 We are especially looking for more RSA-qualified members to assist with alcohol service on Sunday evening between 6pm till close but welcome more across the weekend even if it’s to give someone a break.
🧹 Clubhouse Tidy Up
Help keep the club looking great throughout the weekend while the club is open.
This event simply can’t happen without our amazing volunteers, and we’d love as many members as possible to get involved. If you can help in any capacity, please put your hand up, many hands make light work!
