Expressions of interest are now being called for a BM course.
This course will be delivered over two full days. Further skill development, if required,
can precede the course or follow until competence is achieved.
Day 1 Saturday March 14th. First aid delivery. This is the completion of the national training unit HLTAID011 Provide first aid. If candidates already hold this award please provide the certificate with your EOI, you do not need to attend this day.
Day 2 Saturday March 21st. Weather permitting, this will be a full day of patrol, radio, beach and rescue training. As indicated above, if candidates are not familiar with water skills and board use, pre-course training is possible.
Prerequisites:
1. 400m swim in 8mins or less
2. Completion of online BM training module
3. Patrol activity (details will be provided)
Note also, these dates are a little flexible. If you are interested but the dates don’t work, please advise.
