Sunday Wrap Up 1/2 – Points Day #3 Done and Dusted!
A brisk easterly, some waves and chop were sent to test our Woodside Nippers at their third points day of the season. It was fantastic to see everyone tackle the board and the swim events, as these are the sort of conditions in which you might need to rescue someone.
A huge thank you to Celia and her army of officiating volunteers – from newly accredited Nippers and Youth – George, Zara, Indi and Rosie – to Parents Bec, Hannah and Katie – and our stalwart life members – Rob and Celia. Your efforts in mentoring a new crop of officials and ensuring our Nippers are well prepared for Carnivals are greatly appreciated.
Again, thank you to the water safety team – especially our new SRC graduates – you work hard to keep us comfortable and safe in the water.
And if points day wasn’t enough – we welcomed our 2026 cohort of Surf Babies and Surf Kids to the beach. Well done to Jackie and her team of volunteers – Chelsea, Zach, Flynn, Sophie L, Ollie, Mahayla, Kathy, Jo, and Erin – you made the first ASLSC experience so wonderful for the little kids and their families.
We can always use more volunteers to ensure this program will be a success. If any Youth are interested in helping out – please see Jackie before 9am on Sunday.
Lost Property
We are already gathering a good collection, including many sets of goggles. The lost property bin will be out on Tuesday and Sunday so you can check for missing items.
