With the Country Championships AND Country Carnival coming to our very own Middleton Beach in less than 3 weeks and this is the PERFECT year to compete! Whether it’s your first or your 20th, there’s an option for every competitor. Albany SLSC is partnering with SLSWA to deliver these two carnivals, and we will be aiming for a huge local turnout across ALL age groups from nippers through to masters. So, start thinking about this great opportunity and:

- Start thinking about team relay combinations
- Train! Practice your race formats on Club Sundays!
- Participate at all costs – the bigger team we have on the beach, the more fun we have, the more support we can give each other – we can make this season one to remember for a long time!
- Consider other ways to get involved in competition including Officiating & Water Safety
Eligibility
Participation in SLSWA championships and carnivals including the state Championships in Perth, are for proficient, financial approved members, with a minimum number of 2025 patrol hours. Participants must:
- Have completed a proficiency test relevant to age
- Hold the award (SRC or Bronze) relevant to age
- Have completed the minimum number of patrol hours (for u15 and above)* as outlined in SLSA Policy 5.04 (available on the SLSA Members Portal)
Whilst U14 members do not require patrol hours to compete, we will be encouraging all u14 SRC to join a patrol team on gaining your award to commence your lifesaving pathway.
All entries will be via SurfTec – opening dates will be communicated prior. Teams are made up from completed individual entries. Note the cutoff dates below!
