IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
The Club has made the difficult decision not to run the New Year’s Eve Swim this season.
This much-loved community event has been a highlight on Albany’s summer calendar for many years, bringing together locals and visitors to celebrate the year’s end at Middleton Beach. While it will take a break for 2025, the Club remains firmly committed to the event’s future and it will be back with a bang in 2026!
In place of the NYE Swim, Albany Surf Life Saving Club will host the Albany Bicentenary Swim on 26 January 2026 (Australia Day), a special one-off event celebrating Albany’s Bicentenary and forming part of a huge weekend of Surf Life Saving WA’s Country Championships and Country Carnival.
The Bicentenary Swim will follow the same fun, family-friendly format loved by NYE swimmers, offering distances for all ages and abilities and showcasing the best of our community spirit, ocean culture, and volunteer energy.
We thank everyone who has supported the New Year’s Eve Swim over the years and we can’t wait to see you back in the water in 2026!
