Youth Development Camp Opportunities 2025/26

Surf Life Saving WA strives to deliver initiatives targeted at engaging our youth members with the aim of developing future leaders of our organisation. Season 2025/26 will see SLSWA deliver two youth orientated development camps as below. Clubs are encouraged to nominate participants online by a Club Officer no later than 8am Monday, 3 November 2025. Further information on the camps including dates, participant numbers, club allocations and regional assistance is available via Circular 19.

1. Rise Up Camp

The Rise Up Camp is designed to cater for U17 members (15 and 16 year old). This camp provides an opportunity for members to participate in a wide range of physical and social activities that will develop personal leadership skills.

Age Group: U17s

Venue: SLSWA Development Centre, 222 Railway Terrace, Margaret River, 6285

Date: Monday 5 – Thursday 8 January 2026

Cost: $420.00 (inc gst) per person

Participants: Maximum of 62 participants – Minimum of 2 position per club with the possibility of additional positions offered to clubs based on the size of their youth membership.

2. Teamwork, Opportunity and Development (TOAD) Camp

The TOAD Camp is a development program open to U14 & U15 members (13 and 14 year old). The camp is designed to expose participants to a variety of skills and activities that will enhance and encourage their development within our organisation.

Age Group: U14s and U15s

Venue: SLSWA Development Centre, 222 Railway Terrace, Margaret River, 6285

Date: Monday 12– Thursday 15 January 2026

Cost: $420.00 (inc gst) per person

Participants: Maximum of 62 participants – Minimum of 2 positions per club with the possibility of additional positions offered to clubs based on the size of their youth membership.
