Endurance Championships – 11 October 2025 – here we come!
Get surf fit for the season and prepare for your first carnival of the year at the same time!
The SLSWA Endurance Champs this year will again feature the Nipper Gold ironperson races for U12 & U13.
Long distance events for Youth & Seniors will include Board (3km), Swim (2km), Run (4km) and Ski (6km/8km) – with final program and distances to be confirmed.
Weekly Pre-Season Training @Middleton Beach
- Ski – Tuesday & Thursday 6am commencing 21 August
- Irons – commencing Sunday 8am 24 August
- Boards – commencing Friday 6am 5 September
All pre-season board & iron sessions are open to eligible members U12 and up. Following the Endurance Champs, we will transition to a regular season training program for youth, seniors and nippers.
Water Safety – training for under 12 and under 13 Nippers will be subject to meeting necessary water safety requirements – to ensure adequate coverage, could parents of U12-13 age Nippers please indicate if you have a Nipper Rescue Certificate, Surf Rescue Certificate or Bronze and are prepared to assist. Session leaders will coordinate water safety prior to each session.

- New members to demonstrate SLS swim proficiency – this can be facilitated by session leaders with advance notice.

Use of club equipment & private equipment storage – updated policies will be released and shared with members soon. Existing policies provide a good baseline and are currently still available on the website.
