A decent swell, strong longshore current, rips and seaweed made for a tricky sunday Woodside Nippers session.
The U6’s AND U7’s had some wave catching fun in the Ellen Cove corner and the U8’s and U9’s enjoyed a chat from lifesaver Richard about water craft and had fun swimming to the pontoon from the jetty and jumping off.
The bigger kids tested their skills in the ocean, experiencing the impacts of the water movement and how to plan the board and swim.
Thanks to our AGM’s, AGA’s and water safety. It was fabulous to see so many of you out there helping the Woodside Nippers feel secure in the water, building their confidence.
There is no Woodside Nippers session at Middleton this Sunday of the long weekend.
We have two more Woodside Nippers Sundays on the beach remaining this season;
9th March
16th March – Club Champions Day.
Club Champs will run ALL the events! Beach run, flags, sprints, swim, board and Iron! Points will be awarded for placing in an event and overall Gold, Silver and Bronze medals will be awarded at the end of the session!
