Country Champs – Rachel Bresanello, Julia Littiaienen, Angus Bowles, Hamish Bowles, Jesiah Bresanello, Jason Bresanello, Nick Walker.
Combined with our Nipper team, Albany have accumulated a whopping 276 points to sit third overall on the leaders table, above 12 other country clubs, and sitting behind Bunbury and Secret Harbour. With the handicap still to be applied and the surf boats due to race this weekend, we are still in with a chance for top spot! Congrats to all representatives of the club, many entering every event possible in support of the team, on a hot and windy beach with even hotter competition.

Simply a huge effort from our senior brigade, some backing up from Country’s, with too many individual and team achievements to mention here – watch this space for the full race report – with Albany building a healthy 93 championship points… not bad for 7 competitors! The team spirit was high, and Albany enjoyed shaking the tree of the big Perth clubs in a number of high stakes events, excelling in the building onshore surf conditions and gaining the respect and friendship of the field – are we now thanking the Midds ‘easterly for all the practice?!
