| The Surf Sports team is in need of assistance in the following areas. If this sounds like you, please get in touch before the season really kicks off! Beach Coach & Assistant – to setup (by 8am) and run the Beach Arena (flags and/or sprint) on Sundays for the Youth & Senior group. Get a few and share the role! Swim Captain & Assistant – to help run and record the Club Handicap Swim each Sunday 7:30am, and coordinate club swimming activities planned this season. Lets get our swim on! NYE Swim – general volunteers for registration tables and setup roles Look Ahead Event Coordinators & volunteers – the surf sports team is always on the lookout for new faces to assist or take a lead in the delivery of : our ‘big 3’ events including the New Years Eve Swim, Harbour Swim (Easter Saturday 2024) and Surf Craft Challenge (June long weekend 2024); and a number of popular Club Sponsor trophy events including the annual BB Minicrete Long Run, Smith Thornton Swim (Principal Sponsor), a new Albany Community Pharmacy Woodside Nippers event, and planned events in 2024 for new Principal and Surf Boats sponsor Budget Albany, and new Lifesavers Relay to recognise our Lifesaving Division Sponsor Great Southern Specialist Centre. |
