Member Screening

Thank you to all the members who completed the Volunteer Declaration Forms and provided their Working with Children Card details on Sunday. 

This is a reminder for those who have not actioned the below.

Albany Surf Lifesaving Club is required to follow the recommendations and obligations in relation to member screening requirements in accordance with the updated SLSWA Member Screening Policy which requires members action before the season starts.  

  • All parent members are exempt from holding a Working with Children Card (parent exemption), however are required to complete and sign a Volunteer Declaration Form to advise they have not been issued with a negative notice from Working with Children Screening Unit. 
  • If you hold a current Working with Children Card you do not need to complete a volunteer declaration form, however you will need to have your WWCC sighted and the card number recorded. Please take a photo and email it to Simone on office@albanysurfclub.com.au
  • All youth members between the ages of 13 years and 17 years are required to complete a Volunteer Declaration Form with their parent/guardian signing the same form.

 Simone is available in the surf club office on Tuesday and Thursday 9am – 2pm for forms to be dropped off.
