The annual compliance and PL weekend is rapidly approaching.
*This is the draft program:
Thursday October 5, 6pm, Albany – Venue TBC
Pain Management Skills Maintenance and new awards
Friday October 6, 6pm Denmark SLSC
Pain Management Skills Maintenance and new awards
Saturday October 7, 8am Denmark SLSC
1. SMPC and complex patrol scenarios – open to all members with a focus on leadership positions, such as PCs and emerging youth.
2. IRB in-service – IRB Trainers and Assessors. Delivered by Jeff and George: install new return springs, theory on new approach angles and skills maintenance on the water.
Activities may combine for scenarios.
Sunday October 8, 8am Denmark SLSC (completed by 1pm for club registration to commence)
Trainer and Assessor Skills Maintenance. First aid focus to allow Trainers to become First Aid Facilitators. Also addressing some specific teaching skills and a discussion on the finer points of Assessing. May introduce WA Assessor course if sufficient interest.
NB. You are only required to attend either Saturday or Sunday to meet T & A annual compliance requirements. i.e. if you do the IRB in-service on Saturday, you do not have to attend Sunday.
The focus on Sunday is to upskill everyone to be able to deliver the SLSWA First Aid qual, which is not very different to the BM content. This will make it easier to keep our members current in the ART, which requires a First Aid qual.
