Bremer Bay Carnival
Wow what a weekend!
The weekend started with many of our Nippers Families enjoying an amazing meal at the Bremer Bay Hotel. Opportunities for training for our youth were then available on Saturday morning, thanks to Dave from SLSWA. Beach events then commenced at Blossom Beach with a 1km run, flags, sprints and sprint relay, followed by a sausage sizzle back at the caravan park, play time with friends and a movie- Home Alone. Thanks to the Woodside Nippers who provided the snack bar, with all the funds going back to the club.
It was an early start on Sunday morning; I was so proud of all our Nippers giving everything a go. There were 32 U10-13 Nippers between the 3 clubs competing in the Iron Man Race, with almost all competitors competing in the Cameron Relay.
Thanks to everyone who helped out over the weekend- AGM, Water Safety, Recorders, Officials, and anyone else who I have forgotten!
We look forward to seeing everyone there again next year.
We are also looking forward to our next Nippers Carnival
The Regional Championships will be held on 21st January in Esperance. More information will be provided in the coming weeks.
Friday Swim Training
We continue to have great number attending Friday Swimming training at ALAC 7am – 8am. A huge thanks goes to Helen who is there coaching the kids every week- and you can see the difference the training has made! Once again, all are welcome to come along, just register here.
Friday Sundowner
A reminder that the Club is open on Friday nights from 5pm – 8 pm. All members and their families are welcome to come down! Bring some nibbles or even your fish and chips or any takeaway dinner. Come and enjoy the view and hang out with your friends.
Week 7 – Sunday – Skills and Relay
This week we had a skills day for some of the age groups. With huge sets coming through when members were completing in the swim and board- well done to everyone that got out there and gave it a go! Another huge thanks to all the water safety AGM’s and Officials for everything they do every week for us on the beach.
