Week 5 – Tuesday Training

Finally! Some sunshine for Tuesday Training last week! Unfortunately it came with a decent easterly – but our Woodside Nippers still had a great time. The U6s, 7s, 8s and 9s spent a session catching perfectly sized waves. The U10’s and 11’s practised Sprints and Water Entries, finishing up with a swim to the net and back. Our 12’s and 13’s had fun on their boards.

It will be great to see these skills put to work at the Bremer Bay Carnival this weekend in friendly rivalry with Denmark and Esperance Goldfields SLS clubs!

Thanks again to all our specialist coaches, group managers, parents and water safety that make our Tuesday training possible. We will be doing it all again today from 5 to 6pm – if you haven’t registered and you would like to come and join in it is not too late! Register here.

Week 5 – Sunday – Points Day

What a great day on the beach! The conditions were fantastic, with all U10 – U13s participating in an Iron Person. It was great to see so many Nippers giving it a go and completing Sprints and Flags. Our U8 – U9s had a great day on the beach completing Board, Swim, Sprints and Flags. The U6 – U7s had a great time on boards and playing fun games.

Thanks again to everyone who helps to make out Woodside Nipper Program so amazing!

Week 6 – Bremer Bay Carnival

No Friday Swim Training This Week

There will be NO FRIDAY SWIMMING TRAINING this week 25th November as we are heading out to the Bremer Bay Carnival. This means Helen is going to be away, but she will be back at the pool next week.  Additionally, there will be NO CLUB DAY at Middleton Beach on Sunday 27th November. If you have registered to participate in the Bremer Bay Carnival, you will receive more information regarding the activities available as well as board collection times.

Thank you to our sponsor Albany Community Pharmacy 777 for their support.

Any further question can be directed to Nipper Coordinator Megan Downes at

Looking forward to seeing everyone there!
