Albany Surf Club members and friends came together on Saturday night to celebrate the festive season with delicious food and Christmas cocktails, overlooking beautiful Middleton Beach from our club rooms on what was a stunning Albany evening. It was wonderful to see some new faces in the crowd (along with the usual suspects!), and many of our youth members there as well.
A huge thank you to everyone on the events team and all those who helped to make the party happen, including the industrious elves who decked the club with fairy lights to setup for the event, Kumari and Osandi from Kumari’s Kitchen for the amazing food, our cheerful bar staff Jacques and Izzy for giving the bar volunteers a night off, Joy for concocting the very moreish Christmas cocktails and organising all things bar-related, and event leader Kerry (and Barry) for dessert and making sure everything went smoothly on the night.
Kumari’s Kitchen
We must give a shout out to the delightful Kumari and Osandi from Kumari’s Kitchen, who provided the delicious catering for our Seniors Christmas Party. Kumari is available to create a wide range of traditional Sri Lankan cuisine for event catering, and can also be found serving amazing food at the Boatshed Markets on a Sunday morning (she’s there until 1pm so there’s time to call in for lunch after surf club!). Kumari will be cooking up a feast for the New Year’s Eve Picnic and Fireworks at Anzac Peace Park, so look out for her if you’re there. Contact Kumari on 0439 752 660 if you’d like to inquire about catering for your event or function.
