Lifesaving Team Volunteers Needed!

The club remain in desperate need of volunteers to support significant roles within the Lifesaving Team.

Sunday Morning Water Safety Officer:  To ensure the running of the Sunday Morning Woodside Nippers program we require a volunteer to take on this role. You will be required to set the morning water arena by 0730 am, for the club swim followed by the Senors/Youth sports. Then head into the Woodside Nippers program. An understanding of the local beach and its changing conditions is required. You will be assisted by an able team until you become confident in this role.

Tuesday Training Water Safety Officer: Due to unforeseen circumstances this position is now vacant. This role is supported by a reliable group of volunteers on boards for water safety. What is required now is someone to oversee and organise the IRB driver | crews. Again an understanding of the local beach and its changing conditions is required.

Water Safety Events: There are several events during the season that require some organisation and liaising with other volunteer groups. These are significant events for organisations that we support and essential fundraising events for the club. All of the essential information to undertake this role is provided to you in addition to ongoing support and mentorship from Rob Mason (previous Water Safety Coordinator).

If you are keen to take on any of the above roles or would like to chat more about it, please contact Dani Lynch, Lifesaving Team Leader on 0437 411 557 or email at lifesaving@albanysurfclub.com.au.
