The Surf Life Saving WA Awards of Excellence recognise the achievements and contributions of members and clubs across a range of categories and areas of surf life saving.
The 2022 Surf Life Saving WA Awards of Excellence took place at Crown Ballroom, Crown Perth on Saturday June 25.
It was a big night for Albany SLSC. Big thanks to all of team Albany who travelled to Perth to celebrate!

Congratulations to Megan Downs WINNER of the Woodside Nippers Program Coordinator of the Year! Well done Megan. We are so proud of you!
Awarded to: Megan Downes (Albany SLSC)
Megan spends hours meticulously planning each week to ensure the success of the Woodside Nippers Program. She developed a comprehensive season calendar that focused on skill development, confidence building and connection. Part of this calendar included visits to other beaches to expose the Albany Nippers to different, more challenging conditions.
Megan also coordinated the inaugural Great Southern Regional Nipper Championships which were held at Middleton Beach.
