2021 Rainbow Coast Carnival Wrap Up

Bremer was AWESOME!

What an awesome weekend in Bremer for the Rainbow Coast Carnival. The carnival ran smoothly with excellent weather and conditions. We had a record number of participants with 108 competitors from Albany (73 Nippers!) Excellent efforts and participation from all Albany competitors and volunteers, we are proud of you all, you represent our club so well. Particularly the Nippers, who all tried their hardest.

The Rainbow Coast Carnival is based on overall points compared with competitor numbers. Big congratulations to Esperance for winning the carnival. Results as below:

1st place: Esperance

2nd place: Albany

3rd place: Denmark

Thanks to Denmark SLSC for running the event and Dave Somers from SLSWA coming down to support the event and delivering all the youth focused courses. We are already looking forward to the 2022 Rainbow Coast Carnival!

The weekend would not have been possible without all the volunteers involved. To everyone who filled roles in planning, taking gear to Bremer and back, set up, pack up, the officials, AGM’s, water safety, first aid, result recorders and kids sausage sizzle.  A Big Thank You! It would not have been possible without your efforts and involvement. Enormous thanks goes out to our Vice President Carl Richardson on his super amazing organisation and coordination skills. Thanks a million Carl… we love your work an could not have done it with out you 🙂

It was great to see so many new members and families at Bremer for the first time. We look forward to seeing you there in the years ahead. The weekend was enjoyed by all. The team spirit in both beach and water relay events were a highlight. We should all be very proud of our club!
