MSWA – Albany Swim

by | Thu, 29 Apr 2021 | General

MSWA are calling for Albany SLSC members to get involved in the MSWA Albany 8-hour amateur swimming relay event.

The challenge is to have one swimmer from each team in the water at all times, and laps can be swum in anyway the swimmer chooses, tallying all laps for the final count at the conclusion of the event.

The 2021 MSWA Albany Swim is now in its 9th year, and our supporters will allow MSWA to do even more for the hundreds of people living with neurological conditions in the Great Southern region, including:

  • Providing additional programs, and hosting various educational forums for Members and Clients ;
  • Supporting the construction and fit-out of a purpose built services centre in Albany. This centre will include a large gym, treatment rooms and office space providing a base for local staff. Co-located will be ten high support accommodation units, providing Members and Clients with 24/7 care in a homely environment. This will be a state of the art, accessible facility supporting people living with all neurological conditions, with the project planned to commence in early this year.

If you would like to know more information on how to get involved, please contact Trish Watson via email at Trish.Watson@mswa.org.au. You can also find more information here on their website.
